What do you do with your evenings?

We meet on the first Thursday each month for an interesting evening in enjoyable company.

Driffield Evening WI has been meeting at various venues in Driffield for more than 80 years

and can now be found at Cass Hall, 7.15 to 9.15pm

Our evenings may have a speaker, demonstration or activity along with a themed competition, raffle, refreshments and friendly chat.

As our ‘chat’ time is limited members can also join our informal ‘ Sip and Waffle’ on one other Thursday evening where we can socialise and share ideas for our coming meetings and events.

Some of our events have included a guided tour of Trinity House (Hull), crafting Fairies for ERFWI Christmas tree, summer outing Jesomite craft at Coffee Barn, promoting WI with market stall and attending NFWI events.

The WI has always run campaigns voted for by its members and one that we have been actively interested in is Clean Water, especially as we live in the most northern chalk stream area. We have had a market stall to highlight and encourage awareness of some of the issues and are now involved River Watch water testing scheme.
